ROAST STYLES
Our roast masters, Dick and John, have over 12 years experience as craft-roasters providing artisan quality for every signature blend roasted. Graduates of the Diedrich roasting school, Dick and John work closely with our coffee importer, Atlas Importers, to develop the signature blends that optimize the differentiating characteristics of the post-roast single bean blending:
Full City, Espresso, Light French
A medium-dark roast with a smooth, oily sheen finish exhibiting full-body aroma, flavor complexity and depth.
City-High American
A medium-brown roast exhibiting peak aroma, complexity and balance.
COFFEE STORAGE
Our craft-roasted coffees are packaged in high-barrier foil bags to protect the roasted beans from moisture and oxygen (O2) and allow the release of carbon dioxide (CO2), preserving the freshness. Roasted whole beans are best stored in an opaque container in a cool place, but not in the refrigerator. Coffee beans will absorb the odors. Freezing coffee beans in a freezer bag or tight container is appropriate; only thaw the amount needed for brewing. The general rule for brewing coffee is to use 2 tablespoons (1 Scoop) of ground coffee per 8 ounces of filtered water.
